Clifford Lee Johnson III

Clifford Lee Johnson III is the Director of Musical Development at Manhattan Theatre Club, a position he has held since January 1993. His play, RECONSTRUCTION, was produced in the New York International Fringe Festival in 2004 and by the Open Book in 2005, and his article, “The Persona Musical,” recently appeared in THE DRAMATIST. In addition, he served as a creative consultant during the creation of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, he graduated from Ole Miss and currently lives with two writers, his wife Jane Alice Kelley and their daughter Sofia.
